When Claude Team won't let you publish — the workaround

Claude for Work (Teams) disables the publish button, but nothing stops you copying the dashboard’s code. Copy it out, paste it into Larssoni, and you get a working link you can lock to just the people you choose — even people outside your company.
On Claude for Work, the publish button is often greyed out or missing entirely — a workspace setting your admin controls, not something you did wrong. The dashboard is still yours, and you can still get it out: copy the code, bring it here, and send a link that works for the people who need it — including people outside your company, who could never open a Claude Team link anyway.
Why Teams hides the publish button
On Claude for Work, publishing is a workspace setting — and a lot of admins turn it off. It’s a sensible default for them and an infuriating dead end for you: you made something good and the one button that would let you share it is greyed out. This is the thread people rage about, and the honest answer is that you can’t change the setting. You can get your work out anyway.
The workaround: copy the code
The publish button being disabled doesn’t lock the dashboard — the code is still right there. Copy it out and bring it here:
In Claude, open the dashboard you want.
On a personal account: use the download or copy button just above it.
On Claude for Work: open the ⋯ menu on the dashboard → Copy code.
Paste what you copied into the box here.
Use Copy code from the ⋯ menu rather than dragging to select. A hand-selection quietly drops the parts scrolled out of view; the button copies the whole file.
A link that works for people outside your company
Here’s the part the workaround gets you that publishing never would: a Claude Team link can only ever open for people inside your workspace. The link you make here opens for anyone you choose — a client, a partner, your boss’s boss — none of whom will ever have a Claude account.
And you stay in control of who that is. Lock it to a short list of people, or to anyone with your company email, and revoke access whenever you like. Every version is kept, so you can roll back if you need to.
